Bat Lake

Bat Lake by Eliza Cooper is a dance work celebrating the dark, theatrical world of bats. From pollination to echolocation, the work exposes their nocturnal escapades usually hidden in the shadows. Bat Lake transforms the performance space as elegant beasts glide swiftly across a twilight stage. The work aims to bare these misunderstood creatures, bring their complex characters to life and reveal what lies beneath their mystique.

Directed by Eliza Cooper and choreographed in collaboration with Mitchell Christie, Allie Graham, Maxine Carlisle and Strickland Young. Featuring an original composition by Mason Peronchik and costumes by Eliza Cooper.
